at the Hotel Barahi we have a fully qualified Doctor
on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the event
that any of our guests needs medical attention.
(We are also located close to a modern and well
equipped private hospital.)
We are also able to
assist any guests who find themselves in difficulties
whilst out trekking or peak climbing by helping
arrange for a mountain rescue helicopter to evacuate
a patient to safety. For information on how to avoid
AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) when travelling to
high altitudes, please ask at our Travel and Activities
Desk.
Of course it is rare for our guests to require medical
assistance or rescue from the mountains but we believe
it is important to have the right procedures in
place - to ensure that if any emergency does take
place, the appropriate steps are taken to bring
a swift and successful outcome. |
